Secondly, you are going to want to always put forth your best effort. There is nothing that wins people over as well as just doing good work. When you are doing this, people can tell that you actually care about what you are doing. This means that they are not going to think that you are worthy of leadership.

Finally, just make sure that you are forward and outgoing. Those who stay quite are almost never the ones that advance.
